How do I get a article or poety published

I believe I have written a well versed and inspirational article. I would really like someone to read it and give some advice of whether or not I have talent and if they know where I could get it publish. I will be happy to e-mail my article or poems to anyone who can offer be sound advice and/or publishing information. Thank You....
