Not trying to say a "downer," but, it seems like the uninformed are asking many that are less informed. And many are asking questions to eliminate their own research into where to send it, how to send it, how to present it, et al. There is no quick answer to any of the above regarding anyone's particular story or novel. Look at how many times a blockbuster novel is rejected sometimes before it is published, and made into a movie - LOOK FOR THE RED OCTOBER.
Editors don't even know what is good. Some editors have attained that dictorial position without being a published writer themselves. How can any of us fight that writer's bane?
