I have a question on behalf of a friend. He wrote a screenplay and got it copywrited. He is now trying to present it to agents. One of the agents contacted him and told him that he should have an attorney contact them. Is this the norm and/or the usual time people get told they should get a lawyer or is this friend getting the runaround?
